2024 Fall High School Speech Competition
This event provides high school students from grades 9-11 with a platform to demonstrate their oratory skills, present innovative ideas, and vie for substantial awards. Please email a share link for your speech video and send a copy of your student ID to info@leaderny.org by Dec 15th, 2024. The top 10 finalists, announced on Dec 31st, 2024 will advance to the final round in NY in early 2025.
Strategies for Gaining Admission to America's Dream Universities
The 2024 Spring Education Exchange Series featured "Strategies for Entering America's Dream Universities" with Dr. Jamie Beaton, a passionate educator who shared insights from his experiences at Harvard, Cambridge, and other top schools. High school students and parents participated in enriching Q&A sessions focusing on personalized application strategies and educational growth.
New York, January 6, 2024 — On a chilly winter night with snow flurries, the New York Youth Roundtable held a spring educational exchange meeting in Long Island. The event saw a gathering of university and high school students from MIT, Columbia University, Wharton School of Business, and New York University, all coming together to share their experiences and challenges on their educational journeys.

"Stand Up to Hate" Rally - Support for Asian Americans
On March 14, 2021, in response to an alarming increase in bias incidents and violence against Asian Americans, the New York Youth Roundtable participated in the “Stand Up To Hate” rally that gained the support of more than 50 community organizations.
2020 Education and Leadership Conference
On July 18th, 2020, The New York Youth Roundtable and the International Leaders Foundation (ILF) New York Chapter jointly hosted the annual conference in a special format: an online conference via Zoom. This large-scale online annual conference with the theme "The Future I See" was joined by 17 speakers and over a hundred viewers. This novel way of adapting to current conditions coincides with the theme of this year's annual meeting – the changing world.

The "What Matters More Than Climbing the Ivy?" charity lecture in Long Island celebrated charitable contributions with speakers Emily Wu and Tim Reilly. They shared educational insights, engaging a lively audience of parents and students. High school volunteers were pivotal to the event's success, demonstrating their commitment to community and learning.
How to Exhibit Leadership and Creativity in a Multicultural Work Environment
On September 27, 2019, a pivotal lecture titled "Exhibiting Leadership and Creativity in Multicultural Workplaces" took place in Manhattan. The insightful session was led by Dr. Erika Sauer, a renowned leadership consultant and Director at AmCham New York, widely published in academic journals and specializing in personal leadership development and organizational consulting.

The 2019 annual conference, themed "Opportunities and Challenges in the New Environment," was hosted at an Ivy League university club. Notable speakers included Elaine L. Chao and Dr. James S.C. Chao. The event featured four-panel discussions focusing on leadership, education, art, and the next generation, with distinguished leaders as panelists.
"Little Financial Guru" Program
The "Little Financial Guru" program offered an immersive financial education experience on Wall Street. The half-day event included tours of the Federal Reserve Bank, Goldman Sachs' headquarters, and iconic sites like Federal Hall and the Wall Street Bull. It aimed to enlighten young minds about the financial sector and the significance of financial institutions in global economics.
Transformation" through art and education—2018 Spring/Summer Tea Party
On May 19, 2018, the "Transformation"-themed Spring/Summer Tea Party was held at a Long Island mansion. Renowned Chinese paper-cutting artist Xin Song featured, captivating attendees by sharing her journey from hobbyist to master, blending Eastern and Western art traditions.
2018 Dialogue with Global Business Leaders Series: Session Two
On May 8, 2018, the New York Youth Roundtable, in collaboration with the Asian Cultural Center and PLC, launched the second session of their "Dialogue with Global Business Leaders" series. This session, focusing on "Workplace and Entrepreneurship," was particularly relevant during the graduation season as it addressed the myriad challenges and uncertainties new entrants face.
2018 Education and Leadership Conference
The 2018 Annual Conference focused on "Comparison of Chinese and Western Education and China-US Business Trends." Max Baucus, former U.S. Ambassador to China, and Joel Szabat from the U.S. Department of Transportation delivered keynote speeches. Wenyang Yang, Chief of the UN's Social Perspective on Development Branch, gave a special dinner speech.
2017 Tea Party - From the Mundane to the Boundless: Art Transcends
This unique ceramics exhibition and tea gathering featured a captivating talk by Dr. Qibao, a renowned anthropologist and ceramic artist. Dr. Qibao's insightful discourse on art's transformative power in shaping worldviews left attendees inspired and broadened their perspectives.
2016 Education and Leadership Conference - Exploring Education and Leadership at Annual Gathering with Secretary Elaine Chao
On December 10, 2016, the International Leadership Foundation (ILF) and the New York Youth Roundtable hosted their annual conference at the Harvard Club of New York City. The theme was "Education and Leadership," focusing on nurturing youth leadership and educational strategies. Elaine Chao and Dr. James S.C. Chao graced the event.
